Moving Sale

UPDATE #2: Items listed below still available.  Not too many people showed up on Saturday, and it’s supposed to be even hotter today than yesterday.  So we’re going to change the plan to focus on selling the items listed below, and plan to just donate all the small random items that are left to Goodwill so we don’t have to drag it all outside and sit around in the heat.  If you come for one of the big items you’re welcome to pick through the smaller stuff to see if there’s anything you want before it gets donated.

UPDATE: new lower prices on most remaining items.

A big move deserves a big moving sale.  Although my new employer gave me a relocation package, I expect to be living in a much smaller home once we arrive in the Philippines.  So a lot of our things need to find new homes.  In addition to items listed below, we will have many smaller items for sale during the moving sale on Saturday, August 14 and Sunday August 15 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

I will be removing items from this page as they are sold, so if you see it here, it’s probably still available.  Everything must go, so if you don’t like the price, check back later.  If you give me contact information, I can notify you when I reduce prices.  First come, first served, cash only.

Please call me at 503-648-1567 or 503-310-1600 with any questions.   And yes, the house is available for rent as of September 1.  See the listing at Urban Living Solutions for more details.

We are at 3641 NE Brogden in Hillsboro.  Here’s a Google Maps link.

Amazing how much “stuff” we accumulate in our lifetimes. Purging the stuff has to be with mixed feelings. I know it’s REALLY hard for me to let my stuff go.

I suppose in a few cases that’s true, but I really like the idea of owning less stuff. I feel a lot more freedom that way.

Corrina, I dropped the price to $125 this morning. If you think that’s still too high, let me know what you think is fair.

I am interested in the bed, the futon and possibly the sectional and maybe even the tv. Which of them are left? I can come look at them any time this week but will not be able to pick up until next weekend. Please email me and let me know what you think.

Interested in the Bissel cleaner. Is that the one with the attachments to do furniture?

Carole, the bed, the sectional, and the TV are gone. We still have the futon. If you decided to buy it, we can store it for you until next weekend – that would work well for us.

Barb, I think the Bissell cleaner does have a furniture attachment. I don’t know very much about it. Your best bet is to call my wife at 503-648-1567.

Sorry Jeron, my neighbor across the street decided it was a perfect fit for them.
